Physical and Psychological Effects:
This oil is particularly good if you are tired and suffering from restless sleep or nervous tension. It can calm emotions and relieve anxiety. It can be soothing to the muscles and also useful for rheumatic issues. Marjoram also has good germ fighting capabilities and often used in blends to help relieve colds, sinusitis and bronchitis. Marjoram may also soothe the digestive system, helping with cramps or constipation.
Blends Well With:
Bergamot, ,clarysage, cedarwood, cypress, eucalyptus, frankincense, lavender, lemon, orange, tea tree.
Middle note; warm and slightly spicy. Sweet.
For restful sleep and tension relief: Diffuse 6 drops of marjoram with 4 drops of orange essential oils twenty minutes before bedtime in an aromatic nebulizer. Or add the same amount of drops in a bath just before bed time.
Headaches: Add 2 drops of marjoram essential oil with 2 drops of lavender in 1/4 teaspoon of carrier oil. Massage head starting at temples and working to the base of your neck. Inhale the aroma.
Cautions: Marjoram oil is non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing however should not be used during pregnancy.
